Inleiding

De Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming van de EU („AVG“) is op 25 mei 2018 in de hele Europese Unie in werking getreden en bracht daarmee de ingrijpendste veranderingen in de wetgeving inzake gegevensbescherming van de afgelopen twee decennia met zich mee. De AVG is gebaseerd op „privacy by design“ en hanteert een risicogebaseerde aanpak, en is ontworpen om te voldoen aan de eisen van het digitale tijdperk. De 21e eeuw brengt een breder gebruik van technologie met zich mee, nieuwe definities van wat onder persoonsgegevens valt, en een enorme toename van grensoverschrijdende verwerking. De nieuwe verordening heeft tot doel de wetgeving inzake gegevensbescherming en de verwerking van gegevens in de hele EU te harmoniseren, waardoor individuen sterkere en consistentere rechten krijgen op toegang tot en controle over hun persoonsgegevens.

Onze toewijding

ICit Business Intelligence is committed to ensuring the security and protection of the personal information that we process, and to provide a compliant and consistent approach to data protection. We have a robust and effective data protection program in place which complies with existing law and abides by the data protection principles. We recognise that the new GDPR regulations require that we review and update all processes and technologies related to the handling of personal data to ensure full compliance now and into the future. We are implementing new data protection procedures and controls, ensuring full compliance from 25th mei 2018, with regular reviews to ensure maximum security.

ICit Business Intelligence Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy outlines the approach taken by ICit Business Intelligence in the use of the personal information which it holds. Personal information held is principally personal, role-related data such as customer name and also business contact details such as email, telephone and address.

ICit Business Intelligence may use personal information obtained from a third party for marketing purposes and will only use sources, for example ‘LinkedIn’, which are GDPR compliant.

ICit Business Intelligence provides a variety of information through its website pages and offers visitors the opportunity to request further information or interaction with our team. The information requested from an individual is role-related and will be deleted on request.

Please note that the ICit Business Intelligence website contains links to other sites and that we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those sites.

Welke soorten informatie we verzamelen en hoe deze wordt gebruikt

Op sommige registratieformulieren op onze website kan van u worden gevraagd om gegevens op te geven zoals uw naam, bedrijfsnaam, functie, branche, land, e-mailadres en telefoonnummer. Wij gebruiken deze gegevens niet voor andere doeleinden en wij verstrekken of verkopen deze gegevens niet aan derden. Als u op enig moment geen berichten meer van ons wilt ontvangen en uit onze mailinglijst wilt worden verwijderd, kunt u dit doen door een van de opties te volgen die worden vermeld in het onderstaande gedeelte ‘Afmelden’, of door de optie ‘Afmelden’ of ‘Uitschrijven’ te selecteren in een van onze e-mailberichten aan u.

In some cases, we run joint marketing campaigns with some of our Partners. If you are required to provide some information to third parties (such as filling out a form to register to an event where ICit Business Intelligence doesn’t own the registration process), we will clearly specify in our web page or email that you are providing your details to a third party. If we own the registration process for these kinds of marketing campaigns, we will make it clear before you give your details, if we need to share this information with our Partner in order to provide you with a better experience during the campaign.

Occasionally, ICit Business Intelligence may seek the opinion of our customers, prospective customers and others who have been in contact with us. We may, for example, conduct surveys which ask you for contact information such as that described above; information about a product, service or resource you have used, such as post-event surveys; post-training surveys, customer satisfaction surveys, or to do market research. We may use this data to improve our products, services, and resources, and to enhance our marketing efforts and send you relevant information about our company and promotional material. We do not use this information for any other purpose and we do not provide or sell this information to any third parties. Again, if at any time you do not wish to receive communications from us and wish to be removed from our mailing list, you can do so by using one of the Opting Out methods provided below.

We kunnen uw gegevens ook gebruiken ter ondersteuning van producten of diensten die u bij ons hebt aangeschaft, wanneer u ons uw gegevens verstrekt via een verzoek aan de klantenservice.

ICit Business Intelligence will never share your personal data with Third-Parties that intend to use it for their own purposes. However, for us to be able to fulfil customer orders placed through us, we need to share customer names, business and email addresses with our main suppliers, e.g. IBM.

Contractuele noodzaak

ICit Business Intelligence is required to process your name and business contact details such as email, telephone and address in order to deliver on the terms of a contract between us and yourself, for example software licencing and enabling the provision of an effective Support service, or it may be to deliver on the terms of a contract that is not yet in place but where there is an intention that it soon shall be.

Legitieme zakelijke belangen

ICit Business Intelligence will process your name and business contact details such as email, telephone and address for certain legitimate business interests which include enabling the provision of an effective Support service; for direct marketing purposes; to improve the quality of the services we offer and to better understand the needs of our customers.

Afmelden

Als u niet wilt dat wij uw contactgegevens of andere informatie bewaren, kunt u verzoeken om verwijdering van uw gegevens uit onze contactlijsten door te klikken op de opt-out- of afmeldopties onderaan onze e-mailberichten, door op de e-mail te reageren en te vragen om u af te melden, of door contact met ons op te nemen via een van de volgende manieren:
