End User Course – PAfE (1 Day)

This course is designed for users who will be responsible for analysing data, creating reports, templates and applications.  The core software components utilised within this training course are Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE) and TM1 Web.

Overview: Through a series of lectures, demonstrations and hands-on exercises, students will learn how to access data stored in an IBM Planning Analytics model; how to create custom views; and how to enter data, build reports and create applications for access via a browser.

Prerequisites: Intermediate experience with Excel spreadsheets and an understanding of business metrics and drivers.

Performance Goals: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand Multi-Dimensional Analysis
  • Use IBM Planning Analytics for Model Analysis
  • Explore Model Data
  • Create IBM Planning Analytics Spreadsheet Reports

This course is designed for those users who need to build content for analysing, collecting and reporting on data from within the IBM Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) interface.

Overview: Through a series of lectures, demonstrations and hands-on exercises, students will learn how to access data stored in an IBM Planning Analytics model; how to create books; add content; create views; enter data; add visualisations; analyse data; work in sandboxes; search using natural language; bookmark items; and work with websheets.

Prerequisites: Completion of the IBM Planning Analytics End User course is mandatory.

Performance Goals: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Create books
  • Modify display options
  • Add calculation options
